Today we went to look at some koi that we saw in our local classifieds. A couple was moving and needed to sell their koi, well it turns out they are moving only a couple miles away from us. Really nice couple, they have us the new neighbors discount on some beautiful koi.

How big is that yellow butterfly if it is what I think it is and size you just scored a four hundred dollar fish at absolute minimum

your adding a lot of fish pretty quick I'd suggest adding some stress coat that you can get at any pet store but your need like two large bottles I believe it's 16 oz for 2,000 gallons. I DO NOT ADD anything to my water but stress coat is the exception. lol opps I just read your post about the classified and new neighbors. guess I was fixated on the photos only I don't know where I got that habit from.

Okay here are the others. Pretty sure we are all set now. If anything I would want one white and black ninja koi (don't know the real name yet) and one bright yellow koi. Better pics tomorrow

No worries and thank you, great advice. I originally intended to introduce one or two about 1/2 this size over a few months maybe one per paycheck. It was one of those moments where if I didn't run the risk and take advantage someone else would. We really got the pick of the litter so to say. I will add a couple notes of stress coat tomorrow. What are the forums thoughts on adding some salt too?
