Pickerel Rush

So my wife brought home two of these from Lowe’s. Not sure how to add them to pond. The instructions on the container for all of the Lowe’s pond plants are the same. Should I leave them in the coconut fiber and net bag and set them on the bottom or do I need to pot them like water Lillie’s?

i have mine in a pot, old black home depot plant pot, about a gallon in size. Sitting near the edge of the pond, about 5ish inches surface below water. Planted in kitty litter. They do fine, come back every year

You can put them in a bog also, but they tend to take over.

Pickerell rush is a marginal - the pond bottom would be too deep.
