Ahhh! Sweet kitty! Beautiful plants & flowers! Where, in south LA? I'm in Shreveport. It was a lovely day, here, too, but I don't have any sights to rival yours (except maybe my cats, 2 of which are Tonkenese :)).

Hey Dan, Nice pics, I like the last one in the first group. Sitting deep in the water and the deep dark pink tips. Cool shot! All of them are really nice. I've been taking a few pics this past week, Only had a few blooms, The first one is the original night bloomer I had this spring. Funny thing happened while taking those pics at night, It got positioned right in front of the flood light so the light is hitting the flower from two different directions, kind of made a really cool pic to me by pure accident. (next to the last night bloomer pic.) No filter was used. The next flower is my lotus that i started this spring. I was hoping to see it bloom before the cold finally got here. this after noon it was almost fully open and the wind blew all the peddle's off. so no fully open pic. the last one is one of the babies I got from you. The flower is about as small as the one I really liked at your house. That's the third bloom from it.

Mmathis, Your about a hour and a half - two hours above us, Magoo is about 5 minutes south of me, and Minnowman is about 45 minutes southwest of me. Working on trying to get another local to join as well.

Way cool! Nice to meet others from LA! Guess I should officially change my username to "TurtleMommy," so I'll fit in better! ;)

The lily is Hoku Kea, a Garet Umeura hybrid. I has been very dry and the water in the planter the lily is in was several inches below the top. When I filled it Tuesday the water came about 1/2 " above the base of the flower. The citrus are Paige mandarin and Armstrong satsuma. Not a cat fisher but a cat frogger. A couple of years ago we found a dried bullfrog behind my wife's drawing table. It's body was the size of my hand. It's about 20 degrees colder today than yesterday and only one of the lilies opened today.
