The Pigweed are fast growing fast seeding native plants resistant to herbicides

You can choose from a couple of strategies, live with it and consider planting tough plants that can out compete and look perty on a pond so's pigweed becomes a background foliage plant

You can frequently till all the ground that it affects

Nuke the lot with a nukular option, like Sodium Chlorate, or covering where they grow and solarising the ground

Seriously I read on the Internet that Scientists are engineering a solution to kill pig weed, but it won't be ready for another seven years. The article was dated 2009 so you have a few more years to wait

This guy cooks it and he also cleans these pans up pretty darn good using electrolysis. He cooks up the pig weed at around the 7 min spot on the video for those of you w/ a short attention span

Hello
Ahh you are talking about Duck weed then.

It is hard to get rid of once it is a established.
My Fish and turtles eat it so I can not keep it in the pond.

The only advice I could give is keep scooping it out as much as possible and try to get it under control.
what also might help is put in a faster stronger plant to soak up the nutrients that should help slow down get rid of the duckweed.

your right it is duck weed. i've been told fish will control it, but only fish i could find were grass carp, & a individual can only buy them with a permit, & my pond is small, & i could only get 2. 2 won't do much i don't think. do you know any other fish?
