Another plant that does fantastic with its feet submerged is hibiscus. I have to growing in a peastone bog 12 inches deep and 2000 gph they are on year three doing very well. Well other than jap bettles devouring the leaves. But they don't touch the flowers go figure.Thanks much for the info. I had picked up a basket of colorful mini petunias. Had to pull in a couple days as didnt work, but not surprised. Thought would try. Onto impatents.
Agreed, but I apparently got lucky and chose a variety that nothing eats. It's called "Luna Pink Swirl" and the one I have in the bog is growing bigger and better than the ones I have in the ground.
