Plant trimming day!

Yesterday we spent the morning giving some of the plants a good, hard 'haircut'. The forget-me-not were almost blocking the main waterfall stream, the yellow iris had gotten seriously out of control in the last year & it was almost impossible to even see the stepping stones and get around the island in the upper pool. It never ceases to amaze me how fast pond plants can grow!

It is. I probably should have cut it back a bit more, but... there's always next time (in a couple of weeks! lol)
