Pond bacteria

I'm in sourhern new england, and we're having uncharacteristically warm weather.

Is it too early to start adding pond bacteria to clear up the pond?

It is not necessary to add bacteria to a pond.
Ensure you have good circulation and aeration.
Test your water parameters and adjust as needed for any parameters that out of recommended levels.

once your plants (if you have them; you do, don't you??? If not, get some!) get going, that'll help a lot with water quality and clarity.
