Mine arrived yesterday too but it's too cold to mess with it. We are having very cold weather at 18 degrees I have the heater and 4 airstones running which may have to do for this winter.

When I turned mine on to test them, you have a small amount of water coming up the tube and going back into the pond, down the tube.
Thanks Addy, that's what it's doing:) Well, I've got the pond breather, four air stones and de icer going....hoping this is a winning combo.

Hubby is trying to put together more supports for the net.

I am doing the winter with just the breathers, still believe if Mitch's fish do fine, mine should do fine.

Still waiting for mine.

Pond frozen over with only the aerator hole open.

Today, it's about -5C, but by Monday it's supposed to be +10C with rain. That should get rid of the ice and allow me to place the breather in there (if it ever gets here, must have been sent by courier donkey).

I'm sorry it hasn't arrived yet. Sounds like you'll get a break in your weather and get get it set up in your pond.

Cold day here today. -23C/-9F with -33C/-27F windchill and blowing snow.
We got enough snow here today to go to the top of the pond breathers, but I checked and they're gurgling away just fine.
Last year I covered them with large plastic pots to protect them from the wind, but this year I'm just going to leave them unprotected.
You can see that there is enough warm air circulating around them to keep a hole open in the snow.

Wow MithM, you've got a lot of snow! I continue to wonder if mine is operating properly. Sometimes it seems like there is a steady stream of water spurting from the black tube, other times a trickle. Is this normal?

Yes, that's normal.
Unless they've changed colours, the black tube you see is a heating strip. The water comes up through a clear tube.

OK, makes me feel better. I can't get close enough to carefully watch it. I'm just glad to have something adding more oxygen to the pond.

Those are some nice cameras you have there, addy.
Even though we have house sitters, it eases your mind to be able to check on your property, pond etc, just a click away.
The weather station lets me know the pond temp, air temp, the cameras let me see. This is using the ptz, I can see the water running in the tube
