Pond filter

View attachment 784 ok i have the pondmaster 1500 and i has a cavity on the bottom underneith the 2 layers of filter mesh. would it b bennificial to put lava rock or bio balls or somethin in their and what could i replace the filter media with its getting warn out i belive b/c its not as thick as it use to b

cut to fit furnace filter pads might be your answer they are about $5.00 at Home depot get one or two and cut them to fit stacking them up until full... with the bottom full of finer scrubby pads. this way as the water fows from top to bottom the media gets finer.

right on man thanks. what about Bottom Its got a 2" opening on top(where the filter media is) and then a screwed on screen and the another 2"(thats open) then the out let.
