Hello Ian ! Welcome to the forum.
I only feed my fish once a day so they will eat the algae. So I usually buy the cheapest at petsmart lol
But I'm sure the gang here will have some suggestions.
Again, Welcome!

I won a bag of koi food, not cheap stuff, but price per ounce it is not bad. My impression is they poop a lot less with the more expensive food. I don't see the long brown hangers like I used to. The thing I have read a lot is try to buy food that does not have corn in it, esp as the main ingredient, the fish don't process the corn.
I have goldfish and shubunkins, no koi, but they like the good food. Feed them maybe 3 -4 times a week.
