I installed a UV and bio filter just 2 days ago. The water is great looking already. Its only a 300gallon pond.

If everything else is right, you don't need one at all. My ponds are always clear and I don't use one.
Worried about watts? They don't run for free and replacement cost isn't cheap either.

thanks everyone. Did anyone see the bird in the last 30 secs of the 2nd video?

Cute lil guy, looks like drinking, or eating critters on your rock.
Nice looking dog too!

The hummingbirds in arizona loved my fountain, they took baths in it all the time.

oh, you'd be surprised what you'll find dead in a pond (or alive). Birds, snakes, frogs, and other weird things you never expected.

Yeah this was the first animal I found in 2 years. I guess this little guy was unlucky

I am making my nature type pond with a walk out slope so hopefully anything that falls in will be able to crawl out.
