I am a novice that inherited a 12ft by 12ft round pond, just over a metre deep in the middle. Lots of plants and good filter system.. I only have about 8 goldfish but two died recently. There was fin damage and it looks like the skin was being eaten away on one side around the fin area. I have spotted white spots on other fish and that is how it started on the dead fish. Gradual deterioration. They are eating and swimming around normally but not sure what to do as it seems to be spreading.

Sounds like something bacterial. Or possibly ich. Have you tested your water? Can you post photos of the fish?
And a bit more about your pond - what kind of filtration? Any aeration? How long have these fish been in the pond? Have you changed or added anything to the pond? New fish recently?
