alright this is what i have got so far

should i concret the whole thing (cept for the bottom)? the soil is so dry i dont want it stuffing up when water is finally in play.

You might think about using morter to make a hard level top ring around the pond,8 to 10" wide........ the water will hold the sides back

On top of the dirt that will be the pond eadge,make a flat snake out of morter to keep the rim in place

oh lol silly me, yea i will do that, around both ponds?

well i didnt really think, but im going to have to brick up around 3 more courses, so it gives a better waterfall

Interesting, do you have any concerns about the cement bonding when you are not doing it in single pour?
