Hey y'all!

I've just built a stream in a box about 2.5"x8'. I have a preformed 26" x 26" preformed pond liner as the reservoir and a pond liner throughout the rest of the box. I'm having trouble creating a seal between the pond liner and the preformed liner. I've used a multitude of sealants, caulks, great stuff foam, and even flex seal... all with terribly messy results.

At this point I have a gunky mess of sealant around the lip of the preformed liner with the pond liner cut along the top of the lip. I'm considering buying underwater pool repair sealant... are there any better options for me?

A lot of people use PL-S30 polyurethane roofing adhesive in a caulking gun. The polyurethane stuff is fish safe too.
I don't know how well it will adhere to the preformed pond. I would scrape off all the other gunk. Rough the surface of the preformed up real good with really coarse sandpaper, then clean the surface with alcohol before application. Then, if you can, place a wooden board over it and clamp it together overnight. Two "C" clamps (one on each end of the board) or better yet, two bar clamps.
