Any external pump will work for a pond, but correct sizing is all important. Do you know or can you find out the flow rating (GPH) for this pump?
Based on the posted dimensions, your pond's capacity is about 4500 gallons. If you are planning on fish a minimum flow rate of 7000 GPH is recommended.

true i was going to say same , that pump looks beast lol it can pump to 5 floor and ur pond seems small comparitively , go for smaller , if im not wrong submersible pumps are energy efficient .
u can use this pool pump for high waterfall for few hours to enjoy while sitting in garden .

My pond is around 5000 gallons and I use 2 laguna pumps a 2900 gph and a 2400 gph .Better 2 than one when it comes down to it .They are very energy efficient .
