Algae? Tannins? Water temp is about 68 degrees. Constantly runs, lots of aeration. Full sun for 6 hours. Oh yea....significant polywog population.

Do you get a lot of leaves in the pond? It does look like tannins to me, which isn't a bad thing. Some people just don't like the way it looks. I used activate charcoal in bags to help remove it - I get to a more tea colored water, but never actually crystal clear which is fine with me.

I had a lot of leaves from winter and I was able to get the water very clear this Spring.
The darker color now just started a few days ago.

I have the same problem. I had very clear water after the springs initial algae bloom. I did a 50% water change to clear out most of last years build up and ever since my pond will not return to the clear stage. Im dosing bacteria the exact same, I use Muck Off, for bottom sludge and I even tried a product to help clump the debris for easier filtration of the floating materials.
