I don't know why I haven't been able to find this via search, but I remember that there is a pond/bog ratio to size it correctly. Can anyone help me out? I'm trying to design a new pond in a small space.

TIA

15% minimum for no or very low fish load. 30%+ koi/swim pond. Anything is better than nothing, and no such thing as too big.

As a point of reference, my bog is 20% of my goldfish pond surface area and works fine, but if I knew then what I know now, I'd have made the bog larger because I like planting in it so much.

If you're real tight and funds arent the desiding factor a shower and rdf are also good options ..
