Pond transfer

Hi,

I'm new here so hello everyone!
I have a pond which appears to have a leak and is draining quicker than I can keep topped up.

Luckily I have a second fibreglass pond which I was going to transfer the fish to - but its been sitting in the garden and has collected a lot of rain water.

The rain water fills roughly a fifth of the capacity but has gone stagnant.

Am I best to empty and refill, or am I safe to transfer as much of my original pond water, plants, filter, pump and fish and do a top up of fresh water?

I have some Blagdon Fresh Start if that would help...

I'm just concerned that I need to transfer quickly to save the fish in the old pond before it empties.

Thanks

If the pond sitting out was clean, i.e. no chemicals etc, the water in it might be fine for the fish. Or drain, rinse a bit, and put in your water from the pond with the plants etc. Good luck!

Yes if just rain water then you could add some of your old pond water to it also.
