Things are up and running - last step is to get the pieces to connect the tubing to the pump and filter - right now we are just using a garden hose as tubing.

Skimmer doesn’t seem to suck in? Going to have to play around with how level it is and the water levels.

Did the waterfall rocks all wrong! May redo at some point ….

What size is your pump? Most pond pumps are going to be severely restricted by a 5/8" garden hose. I would wait to see how the skimer peforms once you have larger pipe feeding your waterfall.

Its a prelude skimmer so the 1800 gph mag pump with .75inch attachment is the only thing that would fit. Seems to flow ok but yeah maybe will pull harder with normal tubing.

I think water is getting in in places other than the dood though -

Waterfalls are difficult to build.
Oftentimes the first attempt may not be the last.
Form shelves in the soil for the rocks to sit on before laying the liner. This will help hide that exposed liner below the falls.

Looks nice but yep you will get tired of looking at that liner and end up taking it all apart and starting over w/like what @poconojoe said about building shelves for the rocks to sit on. you can do the shelf thing all around the whole pond too so that no liner will show at all. Put rocks on the short shelf around the edge in the water and then other rocks on top of those set back so they are on the ground partly.
