This is the beginning of year two for our above ground pond. This is our first Spring. Our fish survived (good news!) however there is a lot of gunk, leaves, sediment at the bottom. What's a good vacuum pump to get all this stuff out?

Thanks
Todd

I got the water garden outfitters pond vac
from doc foster and smith it works great and when its filled it stops
and lets out the water. for winter i got 2 huge pieces of window screen
that i put over the pond it keeps out all the gunk and makes your life easy
in the spring

I think the best one is the pondovac 3.
There is a new pondovac 4 but I know nothing about.
I only use mine a couple times a year to clean a small pond that's not cover.
In the spring /I vac it and you wouldn't believe how many leafs it sucks up.
They are oak leafs.

I do know a guy in northern cal. that has a pond building and maintenance business and has been using the pondovac 3 for 2 years and he said it was still ticking.

yes, i can vouch for the pondvac 3. I've had mine about 4 years and it's still fine. What I like about it is that its self dumping--in other words, it drains itself and you don't have to open it up to drain it.
