Hello, We have a 800 gallon pond about 3.5 feet at the deepest, we have an above ground filter but notice over the years that muck is on the bottom and it is overloading the filter. We are thinking about a pond vacuum. How often do you have to use the vacuum? And is this the best way to go? The pond is about 12 years old. Thank you for your help.

With no bottom drains vac every year.
Oase makes the pond-o-vac 4 but Oase left the USA market and that means repair parts would be harder to get and besides they are very expensive.
I'd go wit a Matala vac it's good and almost half the price.
