Hello!

I was clearing out some pond weed from my pond when I noticed it crawling with what looks like woodlice with longer wiggly antennae, also what I presume are their lava wiggling about :-(

Is this bad? good?

OOps sorry edited to add my pond is about 15 foot by 5 foot and about 3 to 4 foot deep.

Im in Essex UK

6 10cm comets and one 13cm Goldfish plus a few tiny 2cm babies that have appeared magically ha ha

OK couldnt get out to take a photo but found this on Wiki

Asellus aquaticus is a freshwater crustacean resembling a woodlouse. It is known by various common names including pond slater, water louse, aquatic sowbug, water hoglouse and cress bug.

Doesnt say if its good or bad

Hi there, thanks for the link.
They arent water fleas though, they aren't curved, we DID have water fleas when it was warmer though. These are about 1cm long and look like the ones on the WiKi link
