Pondless stream reservoir size?

I am building a small waterfall and creek. Max 50’ total. Max depth 12” . Creek will be approx 2’ wide. How big of a pump reservoir do I need. Waterfall will be 18-24 “ high. Very gentle slope to reservoir. How many gallons reservoir do I need?
