HI ALL, I HAVE A PONDOMAX PONTEC ECO 11,000 AND IT HAS STARTED TO STOP AFTER A FEW HOURS USE AND WHEN I SWITCH IT OFF AND RESTART IT , IT STARTS TO WORK FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN STOPS AGAIN. TODAY I CLEANED OUT THE FILTERS AND THE PUMP,RESTARTED IT AND NOW IT WORKS FOR A FEW SECONDS, GUSHING OUT THEN SLOWS RIGHT DOWN AND DOES THE SAME . IT WILL NOT RUN CONTINUALLY WITHOUR STOPPING OR SLOWING RIGHT DOWN. ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Have you checked inside the impeller chamber? Debris can sometimes get in there and is not immediately apparent.

I have had the plastic impeller start to split on a pump causing intermittent issues until if failed completely. When it stops, does it completely stop running, as if the thermal overload is activating? Have you run it submerged with nothing on the intake or output to see how it does with no pressure?

Hi thanks for the reply.
Its very strange,as soon as i turn it on it works fine for about 10seconds then just stops for a couple of seconds and starts again ,so i will try what you have recommended and see what happens.
Thanks Steve
