What are the steps towards converting a long-time running pool into a pond? What filtration must I have? Can a pool filter with sand be replaced with bio media designed for pond filters? Can I expand the filter laterals by cutting them to avoid clogging? How do I run the pump/filtration 24/7 without having a fat electricity bill? Will replacing the pool pump with a more energy efficient pond pump be better? Will this modified filtration make the water appear clean and clear? I would really like to know

I would install a water fall toward one end of the pool that you can see clearly and bod on the side or on the other end. but most efficient is the bog as it empties into the ponf has a waterfall
