Devil makes work for idle hands. So going to try this out instead of an outboard canister this year. These saddle over a cedar 4x4 that will now bridge the back of the pond. Going to plant them with local rushes, some smaller cat tails, Creepy Jenny and whatever else I find in the local swamps. 2” of lava at the bottom and pea gravel the rest. Just need to finish the over flow spouts.

Sparky- I have window boxes set up on the edges of my pond. I used a spray bar to bring the water in. Just punch out the drain plugs that are over the pond edge. I did have to cut holes part way up on the side of the boxes as they got full of roots. Window- bogs!

Love that! Little concerned about my bars getting clogged by roots but everything gets stripped down and cleaned end of the season. Maybe it’ll be fine. Just working on pre-filter now.
