Hi guys,
I was overjoyed yesterday to see a little black baby fish in my pond, the first newborn ever in 10 years! I introduced 3 new goldfish last year and the female among them obviously injected new life among the elders. Baby is happily swimming around today and I’m wondering if I should take him out and let him get stronger and bigger in an isolated tank or should I just leave him to it? Will the big fish harm or eat him? Thank you!

The baby should be fine. And you probably have others.

If he's made it to the point you can see him, he's a survivor. Congratulations! You're a grandparent!
