I recently tried to restart my pond pumps and both display the same problem. They work for under a minute then flow slows and then stops...
1. Submersible Aquascape SFA 3,000 submersible pump I use for a small waterfall and another Aquascape SFA4500 for a bigger one.
2. Pool pump Emerson EB661 from, Astesian Performance Prop Cat # K63CX-EXC 4790. This pump used to be attached to a UV light and glass bead filter but I bypassed these as I have a bog which does the job with some help from a UV light.
Question:
1. Are these pumps fixable? The motors seem to work fine but perhaos the diaphragm or some other element has become inflexible or sprung a leak??
2. I have had a hard time finding a maintenance manual for these pumps.
3. If I have to replace these pumps what is the most effective for a 5-6 feet of head and a waterfall that is turned on very occasionally for effect?
