Hey folks... another noob here with a pump question... I need to replace this pump. It looks older and after looking at Tetons website I’m still trying to figure out which model I need for replacement. Also, is there a cheaper brand I can look at if I match outlet size and power? Thanks!

When looking for a pump figure out how much water flow you want at what height above the pond. Most good pumps will have a flow graph on them. Then choices are internal or external pump. Generaly the more $$$ you spend the better the pump and less power it consumes per month. Lots of times when you compare the pricey pump to the cheap pump the power savings in 1 year will pay the difference plus you get a better quality pump. Cheap pumps will cost you more in the long run with power consumption, pump replacement and loss of fish when they quit.

Remember to also look for a more energy efficient pump .Agree a trash pump not made to run all the time .It almost looks like the sump pump I had in my basement in NJ

@Oblivious
I have and am happy w/my Laguna 4280 max flo pump. Power consumption is lower than most. I cheated tho and took off the cage around it so I can hook it up to my prefilter that goes to my waterfall. Been running great for several years now 24/7.

Thanks for the info thus.... here’s my setup if perhaps I can get some more recommendations for brand and model? The pump submerges in the Savio sub tank (sorry not sure what that’s called) and connects to that white 1 1/2 inch PVC which feeds the waterfall as it sucks water through the UV light/filter system. Need 24/7 operation. Thanks!!!!
