I keep getting a pop-up requesting I "enable push notifications".
Is this legit?

Yes, Click on the picture of the bell (top right hand side of forum) then click on preferences. You will see that listed as an option.

Yep it's legit It's optional, and you can tailor your preferences to choose which notifications you receive.
