I recently bought a Danner 04540 air pump for my Easy Flow 3" aerated main drain..... As it turned out I bought way more air pump than I needed, I am dumping over half of its capacity to the atmosphere to keep the aeration level where I want it. As you can see from my picture I installed a 1 1/2" drain to my Savio waterfall to aid in cleanup.... I was wondering if I could inject the excess air into the waterfall drain which would come out the waterfall. The head pressure is about the same since the bottom of my waterfall filter is basically the same as the pond level. My worry about this is will it affect the biology/bacteria in my waterfall filter, with 3 large Koi and 4 more that are growing and the fact that I struggled to get my pond to cycle and my water chemistry is stable now I don't want to upset things.
Opinions would be appreciated.... Jimmy
