Has any made this type of filter. I built this one going to run a 2500 gph pump into this filter to an 8 inch weir at a 5 foot head with a gph of 1500 gph at that height using 1-1:2 inch tubing. Inlet pipe is 1.5 inches outlet is 2 inches. I have an overflow if it gets block water will flow down into overflow pipe see any problems

I’m sorry, but could you post a picture? I can’t figure out what you are describing. The only thing that pops into my mind is that you want your outflow to be larger than the intake, but I don’t know how to calculate the amt. of outflow there is in an 8” weir. It’s always a good idea to have an overflow, but if you’re starting out concerned about it, maybe it isn’t enough.

How do you calculate for a weir? I have seen that done before — they were comparing weir width to outflow.
basically calculate area; the force/Power behind the water would stay the same. I'm sure there's some differences re 'shape' ala rectangle versus circle, becasue water will exit easier with the circular opening than the square one but I doubt it's much of a takeoff. So, area of a pipe, in this case 2" would be 3.14 sq inches and inlet at 1-1/2 is 1.76 sq inches. So you'd need a three inch outlet giving you 7 ish sq inches. Therefore were it mine, I'd cut my weir to have that square area, something like 1" x 7". Or 2.5" x 3". I'm making the math simple as I'm sure other factors contribute but this would give a good working basis for input to output and different shaped openings. Double the size of the inlet is a minimum; nothing stopping you from going larger.
