I was in Alhambra in Granada, Spain a few weeks ago. There in a pond I saw this fish with the outgrowth on his back, I'm just curious as too what this could be. I've been looking online, but haven't find a clue too what it is. So if anyone knows, I would really appreciate it, it's become a bit of a fix idea too find out.

Thanks

It looks like one of 2 things. Possibly a parasite with a bad infection. But if it is like my comets, it is a tumor. They seem to grow right around the back fin. Some are slower growing. Mine has had one on her for 3 years. It only grows about 1/4" a year and she does not seem to be affected so far.
