I have a unused preformed pond would lick to set up for temporary use to relocate excess plants for existing pond. I am not able to install properly at this time. Has anyone ever set up preformed pond uninstalled? Or am I looking at total disaster

Temporarily, it will be fine to hold plants, just fill it up to the level of the shelves. If you go above the shelves will start to dip down and belly out from the weight of the water.

Imo, If it gets messed up, whatever, preformed ponds are more trouble than they are worth and not aesthetically pleasing for a long term pond anyhow.

I actually used one of the blue kiddy pools to raise some small lotus. It froze solid this winter because it was on a raised platform. I'm amazed it is still intact and some of the lotus survived. Just don't over fill
