I have no idea. Some people, like Koi collectors, breed fish to be viewed from the top. That is generally because they are in ponds so it is much harder to view them from the side. Koi are usually very ugly from the side. Maybe this person likes to collect Ranchu that look real nice from the side, which is the way you would see them when they are in a fish tank.
I have some Canna Lillies that are in baskets submerged in my pond. What should I do with these? Will I lose them? They have been very happy up till now-- but we have had 30's nights for the last few days and daytime temps of 40-80 degrees.....Please advise?
