Re-doing Pond Question

After having problems with this pond i decided to empty and clean the the liner and all of the rocks.I will be filling the pond tomorrow. I will be running two water falls one will be going through the filter.My question is should i plug in the UV light since i wont be adding fish for about 5 weeks.

If you are just filling the pond, there is no use for a uv. The light will help clear green water. The bulbs in the uv have a short life span so don't use it till you need it. Unless your pond has been contaminated I wouldn't clean the liner and rocks. Leave the algae coating.

Totally agree, no UV and not scrubbing the rocks and liner. Just a little housekeeping is all that is needed.

The thing is the pond was contaminated. Lost all of my fish to an mystery ailment.I just filled it today and i will leave the filter on 24/7 for the next 5 weeks before i add new fish.
