Red Cherry shrimps for algae problem?

i just suddenly remember that "Fresh water shrimps eat algae too"
so i was thinking what if i put some red cherry shrimps on my filter's 2nd chamber(this is where i store my good bacteria) would that help reduce algae problem?
why red cherry shrimps? cuz its cheap and easy to breed ;)

also put around 3-5 aquatic plants on my 2nd chamber and my 1st chamber(above those jap matt alternative i got)to reduce ammonia..


what do you guys think?

Red cherry shrimps won't make a dent in your algae problem. Not only that, they die easily and are expensive. I have them in my indoor tanks. You're better off dealing with your algae problem naturally.
