When I started Wildlife Pond Project #2 last year, one of the first plants I bought was a Water Soldier. Since then it has produced several offshoots which I've now cut off and put in other parts of the pond.

It has grown to such a size now that I think it's a bit too big for my pond and so a couple of minutes ago I removed it. Only problem now is I'm thinking perhaps I should leave it in after all.

Given that the off shoots will no doubt grow to a similar size over time, should I leave it out or put it back in?

It seems a waste just to take it out and let it die.
