I've no clue what just happened. (seemingly overnight) But my pond went from pea soup to acceptable green, and held there for about a week, then, overnight went from green to as clear as anyone would want. With no sludge to speak of on the bottom.
So clear that I can count the scales on the minnow, and he blends in with everything.
Kinda scares me, but I'm glad that the bottom is nowhere near as bad as I thought it was, (sludge, and what all, nearly non existent)

That's the way it happens- Pond Magic! Mine also cleared this weekend, slower than usual. I can now see the wrinkles in the liner on the pond bottom- 5 1/2 feet down!
