Plastic plants , a little gravel, water looks decent but has it been tested? is there air in the tank ? is there circulation?

Welcome P808. That is a beautiful fish. I have seen this before and am willing to bet it is a water quality problem. Please test or take a sample of your water to a pet shop for testing. In the meantime, recommend a partial water exchange. Treat the replacement water for chlorine and chloramines before introducing it into the tank.
Agree with the above questions: How large is the tank? Is it cycled? Type of filtration? How many other fish in the tank? We are here to assist, please let.
