It's a Garden Pond Gorilla. He'd feel right at home sitting by one of the beautiful tropical-themed ponds seen on this site. Wonderful shot, as always Rob. I can't vouch for his resemblance to John though, Dave. He reminds me of my mother-in-law, actually.
