Skin reaction

So while working in my pond today my face brushed against my umbrella plam. Shortly after my face felt itchy and irritated where the plant touched it. Has this happened to anyone else? Does umbrella palm have irritant properties when it touches skin?

I have had an issue with one of my ornamental grasses I have planted in a flower bed. Will actually make little blisters. I have other grasses but have not had any reaction to those. Cant remember which cultivar of grass. One of the miscansis I think.
I have not had any issues with the umbrella palm I have had in the past.

No problems with umbrella palm but a really bad rash form Thaila. My arms were broke out for weeks.

I react horribly to black eyed susans, the maryland state flower. They are everywhere.
