Hi all!

Dug out our first little bit of paradise two weekends ago and am still in process of finishing it up.

It is an 8'x6', 2' flexible liner, wildlife / minnow pond. The two feet is the deepest part and it slopes up to one side to allow wildlife enjoy the pebble beach. Best estimate, 700 gallons.

Currently, we do not have a pump / filter set up as there is no electrical hooked up to the site. That will change in the near future. To hold us over, I have the floating solar pump from Harbor Freight to ripple the water.

I did buy a little 250 gph submersible pump from Harbor Freight, the blue furnace filter sheet and two pond plant baskets to build me a mini skippy filter to keep the water moving. This is next on the list of projects as well as putting down a wildflower seed mix for around the pond.

Now if the weather would cooperate!

Hi Minnow, Welcome!!! That sounds like a nice setup. What other fish are you putting in it besides minnows?
