Well Pond Spring Clean Up has begun….. what a mess….everything that is in the baskets are going back into the pond…. Everything else I am going to put in the ground in a sunny place behind the fence so I can keep what I want…. Arrowhead plant and a couple of different kinds of Lilies in amongst the Elephant Ears, in a month it will look entirely different….. LoL

Been removing all the dead plants from winter mostly with a blow torch." What do you expect it's me " scooping up leaves from the fall that found there way into the pond, surprisingly no frogs as yet.

naaa the frogs are under water no flames there . The bog and all along the edges of the ponds got the torch . instead of trying to pull out the leaves that are intertwined with the leaves it's easy to just let the flames do the job and add some carbon to the soils ... key it to do it when everything is still wet the upper branches are dry and burn out while the base is still water logged from winter and the flames won't hurt anything.....

Luckily I did a good clean out last fall. I do see one lily pot upside down and a tuber floating might be dead, will get hubby to fish it out sink it somewhere see if it grows.

Fired up the main pump and pushing through the bogs. amazingly the fish came alive as well they all came up to the surface biting at anything they saw. I know the waters are below 50 but if they came asking i gave them a bit.
