Stolen fish found by the police, hopeful of a happy ending

I came across this story on the PFK at last I say the police have taken an interest.
Stolen koi in the past never seemed to be found and the police were less than interested in what they termed fancy goldfish which put koi keepers backs up but this is the first time weve ever heard of them finding any :-

I love a happy ending lets hope somone recognises them and they can go home to their owners pond non the worse for wear .
Do you get much in the way of koi theft in the US?

Interesting. So how did they know they were stolen?


I could see how some koi keepers could get their backs up at the term "fancy goldfish", since they really aren't goldfish at all. :nono: Somebody should correct them and tell them to use the proper definition "Fancy Carp". :tongue:

When I was PRO in our club I liased with the police and that was exactly the response I got from them sadly .

Yes alleged, nothing has been proven at this point. Even the photo in the article was not of the actual fish in question.
