Storm prep

Was just reading misc conversations, and noticed a new member asked about draining their pond a bit for storm prep, and no responses. I didnt plan on doing any draining, but curious what others did when getting hit with a healthy rain and wind storm.

to the pond nothing, it has the ability to overflow

Ours has the ability to safely overflow too... God knows the garden hose has been forgotten (ON) a time or two (or many LOL). I just felt bad seeing a new member post and get no response. Every situation is different, so didnt want to just say we are doing nothing.

yes same here we have a run off on our pond that when it over tops what used to be the inflow of our pond now the other way around turning the overflow pipe as a sort of rudimentary skimmer of sorts it ovr flows and runs straight to drain with no problem .
