Filter has a 13w UV light and i still have all of this algae.

The algea that gets so much time being talked about. Hair algea it's a result from to much organics in the water table and or not enough plants

How big is the pond .

are you feeding your fish? If so , stop and watch how fast all that algae goes away!

Yes I am still feeding them. The pond is 700 Gal. with lots of plants.

I have 2 established koi ponds, neither of which has plants in it except lilies. Feed my koi 1-2 times a week. No algae anywhere. Your fish will clean your pond for you.

Mine get no food, the pond has no hair algae, the fish snack on everything in the pond and there is a lot for them to eat.

Also - your UV does nothing for string algae.

I only have string algae in my bog and waterfall. Every so often I remove it with toilet brush and use the algae in my veggie garden
