Never have I seen that, and we get a whole lot of toads breeding in the pond. They come first. Then tree frogs then the frogs.

Be extremely careful publishing these toad/frog pictures on the internet. They might violate British pornography laws! And if the British newspapers get wind of them, you might be the target of toad paparazzi. Getting a little racy there!

This koi has a fetish and he/she is out looking for some wrinkly old toad action.

@budgenator, 'I found the Great Britain has 2 species of tree frogs and I suspect a tree frog would be more able to ride a koi bare-back than a real toad would'.....really, that's news to me!
Where was that info found please? I hope you don't mind me asking as I would be interested to read that! As far as I've ever been aware we have the common frog and in a tiny area of East Anglia, the pool frog. Our toads are common toad and natterjack toad. Our only other amphibians are, smooth, palmate and crested newts. Any other species isn't native and not recognised nationally as a U.K. dweller, that's not to say an escapee from a zoo or somewhere doesn't lurk the in UK's damp and dark undergrowth!
Sorry to swerve slightly off the main topic here, but I couldn't let this pass without finding out more.

You may want to clear out toads from the fish pond, their spawn and tads have a toxic impact on those fish that try eating them.

Common frogs egg and tadpoles are very edible, nutritious and good eating

Looks like I skimmed this article to quickly, http://scienceblogs.com/tetrapodzoology/2007/02/19/britains-lost-tree-frogs-sigh/ and counted the New Forest tree frogs with the Common tree frog, 1 being alien, and 1 being native. I actually was surprised at how few amphibians are in Great Britain; just in my backyard I've got two species of aquatic frogs, 3 species of tree frogs and two species of snakes. There are so many Spring Peepers in the trees, they can keep you awake at night.

Not many amphibians or reptiles made it across the English channel after the last ice age retreated.

Some herps could colonise England, chorus frogs, green tree frog, gray tree frog, fire bellied toads, wall lizards, green lizards, snapping turtles for example, though the cloudy mild summers are marginal for their eggs to incubate

both if you can, but I was thinking of at least the toad/fish attached out of morbid curiosity; you've have a problem that nobody seems to have heard of before. If Meyer Jordan,
addy1, and MitchM haven't head of it, you have something rare.
Well after a quiet few days with no toady action the fish is under attack again.
