too many ants near my koi pond!

Any suggestions out there to get rid or better control my ant population around my koi pond in CA? thanks

Mixing a couple of spoons of sugar, with about 5% boric acid, damping it wet, creates a bait which ants take back to the nest and ermmm, does the stomach of ant larvae no good at all

Assuming they are ants which like a sugar bait

I've been pretty happy with the Raid ant gel. I squirt it along ant trails when I find them. My dog doesn't seem interested in the gel, so that's helpful. He liked chewing the ant stakes I used to get. Maybe that will work for you--if there's no possibility of it getting into your pond? (I've only found it at Target, by the way.)
