I had a lot of praying mantis last year. Lots of egg sacks in the shrubs. I think the hard winter may of killed them because I have not seen any signs of life from them. :(

We only have a couple of those that I know of.......lady bugs and daddy long legs. Not too many bugs here really to notice much anyways. Lots of spiders but not really big ones.

I think I have 3 out of 5..

many years ago I bought the preying mantis eggs sack and put in my garden. I ended up only had about 2 adults survive, then I didnt see anymore for a few years until the last 2 years. This year I saw one around, my son loves it. If I saw one I think I might have more than one :) it's about 1 inches long right now.

Yikes! Seeing assassin bugs listed gave me the willies... Since they transmit Chagas disease in South America. This is a different species of assassin bugs of course... But it doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Very interesting article, but I was surprised it didn't mention dragon flies. I have read that a mature dragon fly can consume several thousand mosquitoes a day!

We have tons of dragon flies and have only seen one mosquito in the past 3 years.
